All reviews on The Review Bench are editorial work by our staff reviewers, with full author bylines and bylines histories. We do not run AI-generated content as editorial. We accept no affiliate or sponsorship compensation. We do not retain review units. Where a reviewer has a prior relationship with a vendor, the relationship is disclosed at the top of the review.

Our scoring scale runs 0 to 10. We do not award a 10. Editor's Picks are reviews scored 8.0 or higher. Below 7.0, we generally consider the product not worth recommending without a specific reason.

Our minimum testing window is four weeks of regular daily use before publication. For products meant to live in a home or on a person — soundbars, routers, password managers, watches — we re-test at three months and at twelve months and update the review.
